Nokia Windows 8 Tablet May Be on the Horizon
Rumor has it there’s a new Nokia tablet just around the bend that could quite possibly be ready for launch at the end of 2012. The gossip has been heard through many different grapevines in fact, that the Finnish company could be supplying stores with a tablet featuring a 10-inch screen and a dual-core Qualcomm chip. Specifically, the power force behind the new Nokia tab would most likely be Snapdragon S4, which is currently sported by devices like the HTC One S. Furthermore, due to Nokia’s buddy-buddy relationship with Microsoft, the tab will probably run Windows 8.
On that note, the Nokia may have to share the spotlight when it comes to tablets sporting the spanking new Windows 8 system – because Samsung, Acer, Lenovo, HOP and Dell are all rumored to be jumping on that tabby bandwagon. But Nokia may be the company that benefit’s the most from the release. It would allow the company to offer the chic aesthetics of the its Lumia breed of mobile phones – but with its own special software, too.
An attractive Nokia tablet complimented by an equally pleasing Nokia phone would definitely be a step in the right direction (which is the strategic, successful path blazed by Apple).
Indeed the Nokia tablet marks the company’s steadfast attempt to create a product for going head-to-head with the iPad, of which Apple recently launched its third generation.
Word has it that Nokia will be employing Compal Electronics, a Taiwan-based company, to manufacture the unit, forecasting that straight out of the gate, orders could total more than 200,00 tablets.
At CPS, you can purchase a cell phone warranty for the Nokia devices you’re already sporting – as well as a warranty for the new tablet expected to appear at the end of this year.
